Percent–Fraction–Decimal Chart
Percentages, fractions and decimals are three ways of writing the same value.
Conversion rules
- Percent → decimal: divide by 100 (35% → 0.35).
- Decimal → percent: multiply by 100 (0.035 → 3.5%).
- Fraction → decimal: divide the numerator by the denominator (3/8 → 0.375).
- Decimal → fraction: write it over a power of ten and simplify (0.375 = 375/1000 = 3/8).
- Percent → fraction: write it over 100 and simplify (12.5% = 12.5/100 = 1/8).
