Keep units consistent

If time is in minutes, divide by 60 first (45 min = 0.75 h). If speed is in m/s but distance in km, convert one of them — the speed converter helps. Results are averages: real journeys include stops and speed changes.

Pace for runners

Pace is the inverse of speed: minutes per km or mile. 10 km in 50 minutes is 12 km/h, or a pace of 5:00 per km.
